Description
STERIL Sitz Bath is a disposable system designed for the cleaning of the post-operative wounds following haemorrhoidectomy, fistulectomy, saucerization of perianal and ischio-rectal abscesses, episiotomy and marsupialization of Bartholin cyst.
The system consists of a basin that fits onto the toilet bowl.
The basin is filled with water or specially prepared antiseptic irrigation solution into which the patient’s wound is immersed.
The contaminated solution is replaced continuously by fresh stock stored in an overhead bag which can be replenished conveniently. As new solution fills the basin, the dirty solution overflows into outlet that discharges it into the toilet bowl.
The system is available with or without the antiseptic tablets (Sodium dichloroisocyanate) that can be dissolved in the water to be used for irrigation.
