Description
STERIL Nasal Oxygen Cannula is designed for delivering clean oxygen of the correct concentration to patients suffering from hypoxia.
Detailed attention is given to the dimensions (length and internal diameter) of the tubing used in order to ensure that the prescribed oxygen Flow Rate of 4L/min or 5L/min corresponds to Inspired Oxygen Concentration (FlO2) of 102.36% or 102.40% respectively.
The nasal cannula is made soft and easily cut for sizing the cannula length when necessary. An adjustable headband ensures that they sit in the nares without causing discomfort or skin irritation.
The headband is connected to the connecting tube that end as in a female connector that can connect to the male outlet of the wall-mounted humidifier or the humidifier of the mobile oxygen concentrator.
The lumen of the connecting tube has a crenelated cross-section along its entire length which prevents complete obstruction of oxygen flow when the tube is accidentally kinked during use.
ALL STERIL catheters are manufactured from DEHP-free polyvinyl chloride resin to conform to safety standards that protect patients from potential toxic or carcinogenic addictives.
